Get Baptized
baptism is our first step of obedience in following jesus.
Jesus commanded us to make disciples and baptize them (Matthew 28:19). It is a public demonstration of a believer’s commitment to follow Christ and illustrates the new life we have found in Jesus.
We baptize by immersion (dunking under water) because that is how everyone in the Bible was baptized (after all, the very word “baptize” comes from the Greek word meaning to “immerse”.)
We only baptize believers (not infants) because we understand baptism is an ordinance of the church for people who have already put their faith in Christ.
