What to Expect

At First Baptist Port St. John you will be welcomed by people who love Jesus and are genuinely excited to see you.

How Long are Sunday Services? About 75 minutes, depending on what the Holy Spirit has in store.

What is the Music Like? We enjoy live music as part of our worship of God. Every service features a little bit of a different blend of modern praise choruses, traditional hymns, and southern gospel classics. The goal is always to magnify our Awesome God with a wide variety of musical formats.

What About My Kids? We offer a wide range of children’s programs for kids of all ages during our Sunday morning worship service. Babies and toddlers can be cared for by our professional and caring staff in our nursery. Kids ages 3 to 12 can worship alongside their parents through the musical portion of the service and then participate our high-energy Children’s Church. Of course, if parents want to keep their children with you throughout the service that is perfectly fine as well. The goal is to help each child tailor a loving relationship with God through our various children’s ministries. For more information about our children’s ministries please click here.

What do you believe? Our Statement of Faith can be found here.

What do I wear? We don’t get too hung up on how people dress. We want you to feel at ease and wear whatever you are comfortable in. Some folks dress casually. Others wear their Sunday finest. It really is up to you.
